We are proud to announce that our Assemble Crafting Kits and stamps can be found in two fantastic shops in Boston, Massachusetts! If you're in the area, definitely take a trip to Black Ink (Andie's old stomping ground!) and check out our needle-felting kits and Mr. Bradley Stemke polar bear stamps. This is one of the best places for holiday shopping in the city, and lucky for you--there are two locations!
Visit Black Ink:
101 Charles Street
Boston, Massachusetts 02114
-and-

And, not to be outdone--under new ownership and reopened just in time for Christmas is Front on the waterfront! Front is currently carrying our Assemble hardcover bookbinding kits in all paper styles. Careful in here though! You'll probably walk out with lots of other "gifts" that you absolutely need for yourself and others.

The Regional Assembly of Text in Victoria, B.C.
What a treat! We have always been lovers from afar of The Regional Assembly of Text in Vancouver, B.C., so imagine my surprise when I found one on our weekend away in Victoria, B.C. I was ecstatic and would have been heartbroken had I found out there was a little shop there after we left.
Fellow brick and mortar lovers of typewriters, letters, cute cards and buttons (we could be best friends!), The Regional Assembly of Text is a quaint little stop with goodies galore. I walked away with one of their tote bags (I always love a tote), a button or two, a pencil box and a thank you card for our gracious hosts. Plus, we spied our good pals Yellow Owl Workshop!
If you're in either of these two cities, swing by and say hello. Prepare to be charmed.

This commercial nearly makes me cry every time I see it. It's so special. Remember to Shop Small this Saturday, the 24th. We will be open from 11-6. Shopping small doesn't necessarily mean in the shop either! You can shop online with us as well!
Here are some of our favorite local businesses, that would love your support on Saturday:

Santoro's Books
Queen Anne Books
Picnic
Drygoods Design
Schmancy
Trophy Cupcakes
The Chocolate Shoebox

A Little Bit About Us..

For those of you who are brand new Assemblers, we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves a bit! Emily & I (Andie) met in 2007, when we worked together at a large paper, invitation, and crafting boutique: Paper Source. Throughout the short time we worked together, we formed a fast friendship and dreamily chatted about the day we would start a business together.
Two years later, in 2009, we did just that! Emily and I combined our collective love for craft, design, and art, and after very little sleep and a lot of elbow grease, Assemble Gallery & Studio was born! Assemble offered a space for crafting workshops, events & parties, art shows and beautiful products by thoughtful and creative designers. With lovely life events along the way, (babies and weddings, new homes and travel) we have maintained our mission: to showcase craft as modern art, while teaching both traditional and avant-garde crafting techniques in a workshop environment. We formed Assemble as a gallery of inspiration and ideas in the business of happiness: a place for people to assemble, make, and do.
Recently, we've decided to close our sweet little brick & mortar shop, and forge ahead as an exclusively online space in January of 2013: Assemble Shop & Studio! Our blog, our online shop, our future video workshop tutorials & kits are all here to share our love and ideas with all of our friends and followers. We hope you'll come along for the ride.
To learn more about Emily and I, please visit the about section on our website, or send us a note or an inquiry! We would love to hear from you. ♥
